thursday, october 28th.
here are some photos from the week my dad came to visit me!
we attended my coworker's wedding.
[it was a strange feeling to be attending the wedding merely as a guest and not the amateur "photographer"! because of this, i was sitting in a place where those flowers were constantly in my way. did i trick you in making it look like i purposefully put the flowers there?]
this is my wonderful coworker, brain, and his adorable little girl.
my dad found the same tailor place in itaewon he visited 23 years ago!!
this graffiti is in hongdae:
nobody uses dog leashes here!
we went to the noryangin fish market, seoul's largest fish market.
my dad is such a people person!
[here we are picking out the live fish that we want to eat for lunch. they kill the fish in front of you :/]
they cooked us a stew for lunch ... we were expecting the fish to be cut up into little pieces but we were very wrong!
you may be thinking ... "where da eyeballs be?" well ... papa and i ate the eyeballs of that fish!!!!
hahaha this picture is great because when my mom visited, she was absolutely distraught over the fact that the little piggies in this poster were dreaming of something written in korean when it is actually an advertisement for a pork restaurant. (mama jeri is a vegetarian ... wonder where i get it from ;])
well, here is my dad's retaliation to my mom's response:
we went out to dinner with one of the directors at my school, janet, and my coworker, micah.
the restaurant brought us so many side dishes ... nom, nom, nom!
my favorite korean dish, bibimbap!
at the han river:
[i love these photos of my handsome father!]
we took a river cruise on the han river:
my dad and i were the only passengers on the pirate-themed boat!
these photographer guys had me "model" for the magazine they worked for ... haha!
daddy treated me to many, delicious hot chocolates on his visit:
i was very, very sneaky when taking this photo:
papa blaine and i made sure to visit seoul's olympic park because a) it is walking distance from my house and b) my mom would have lost it if we were to tell her we didn't visit the park during the fall time!
here is my dad on an early morning at olympic park. that is my school, kangnam poly, in the background!
hahaha this photo cracks me up ... doesn't it look like those ajishis and that bunny are up to no good??
we visited the north seoul tower on namsam mountain. last time i visited the tower, i didn't take the elevator up the tower but rather just saw the city from the top of the mountain. dad and i went to the top of the tower and the view was ten times cooler!
thank you for coming, pops! i had such a wonderful time with you. i miss you [and mom] already ... please come back soooon! love you both!
